Attendees:
- Steve Ashlin, Alan Crawford, Andrew Farncombe, John Davies, Phil Stott (Thales)
- Iain Cardow and Peter Mason by conference phone.
Status of IS2016 paper
- Submission 'Understanding Services: Understanding Stakeholders' has been accepted as paper 54.
- Six reviewers made recommendations - 2 strong accept, 2 accept, 1 weak accept, 1 marginal.
- 14 detailed comments have been dealt with - most have improved the paper.
- Figure 2 has been replaced as John Wiley (publisher) would charge £200 to copy a similar diagram from another paper
- Figure 4 has been added (from the presentation slides) to illustrate an example Service Oriented Architecture and text suitably amended..
- 'Conclusions' has been re-written and some words moved to 'Future Work'
- Paper is now the recommended/required 15 pages
Actions all authors to:
- final review and send comments to John by 14 May
- complete release form and send to John by 25May
Presentation at Local Meeting in Bristol
Iain reported on the meeting at which he presented.
- General interest shown, including from people working in NHS and Thales. Hence Phil attending this meeting.
- Particular interest in the Definitions Map and discussion on the Services views in NAF v4.0.

- There is some overlap with the current output of our work but NAF does not cover the full range of our work.
Actions for next meeting
- Steve Ashlin to contact James Hillman again to invite him to next meeting. Depending on availability, this could change the location of the next meeting.
- All to review IBM Service Science community website
- All to apply existing knowledge to engineering Services defined in case studies
- All to review NAF 4.0 draft for Service Views.
