Workshop for ASEC2017
Being developed by Simon Wright.
'Deriving an Ontology for Service Systems.'
- To describe how a Services ontology can be derived using Systems Engineering techniques.
- To derive the first two layers of an ontology by using different areas of services
[[1]]
Fitting Services Systems Engineering into standard handbooks.
Systems Engineering Book of Knowledge (SeBOK)
Each part of the SEBoK is divided into knowledge areas (KAs), which are groupings of information with a related theme. The KAs in turn are divided into topics. This KA contains the following topics:
- Service Systems Background
- Fundamentals of Services
- Properties of Services
- Scope of Service Systems Engineering
- Value of Service Systems Engineering
- Service Systems Engineering Stages
The work of the working group could contribute to these sections. However we need to get it to a level of understanding and quality that it can be published and then these sections could be edited or added to.
Systems Engineering Handbook (supporting ISO 15288)
This is mostly process driven. The low level processes used in Systems Engineering are also applicable for Service Systems Engineering. It may be that Service Systems Engineering has a place in the section on 'Specialty Engineering.
Possible contents list for a Guide to Service Systems Engineering.
